Shillong, Nov 19: The Hynñiewtrep Youths’ Council (HYC) has condemned the tragic accident at NEHU, where a speeding car driven by a security guard rammed into students.
The incident which happened on November 17 has sparked outrage over drunken driving and road safety.
Reacting to the horrifying incident, HYC President Roy Kupar Synrem said, “The safety of our children and youths must be our paramount concern. Rash driving is not an accident; it is a crime born of negligence. We demand that justice is served accordingly and concrete steps are taken to prevent such tragedies from ever happening again.”
