Billionaire MAGA donor Bill Ackman has been mocked after offering dating advice to LGBTQ+ people.

The hedge fund manager, who endorsed Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, took to X/Twitter on Saturday (15 November) to share his words of wisdom, advising daters to ask: “May I meet you before engaging further in conversation?” – a tactic, he claimed, “almost never” got him a negative response.

“It inevitably enabled the opportunity for a further conversation,” he continued. “I met a lot of really interesting people this way… the combination of proper grammar and politeness was the key to its effectiveness.”

The tip “should work for women seeking men as well as same-sex interactions”, he insisted.
