The former chief minister and Haridwar MP, Trivendra Singh Rawat expressed concern over the rising incidents of human-animal conflict in Uttarkashi district. “The wild animal activity in mountainous areas in the State, in general, and Uttarkashi district, in particular, is a matter of deep concern. To mitigate casualties, the villagers should remain vigilant. They should not venture into the forests or the uninhabited areas alone. If they have to, they must travel in groups to keep safe from wildlife attacks,” he said while addressing a media conference here on Wednesday during his day-long Uttarkashi visit.
Asked about the Dharali disaster rehabilitation, he said that the special package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would provide relief
