Wanted gangster Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was remanded to 11 days of NIA custody on Wednesday, just hours after he was deported to India from the United States. His arrival triggered a high-security operation in the national capital, marking a significant breakthrough in multiple terror-related investigations.
Deportation and Court Appearance
Anmol arrived in New Delhi in the afternoon after being 'removed' from the US. He was immediately taken into custody and produced before the Patiala House Court around 5 pm under heightened security, including deployment of the Rapid Action Force (RAF).
The NIA sought 15 days of custody, citing the need for extensive interrogation, but the court sanctioned 11 days.
