BELVIDERE, Ill. — A local police department is inviting the community to a Thanksgiving dinner.
The Belvidere Police Department said on Facebook that everyone in their community is invited to a Thanksgiving Feast this month. The dinner is funded by BPD's annual Feed the Need campaign in their partnership with The Salvation Army Belvidere Corps .
BPD said all are welcome and there is no need to RSVP.
" Bring your family, friends, neighbors—or come on your own," wrote the police department on their Facebook post.
Boone County Transit is also offering free rides to the dinner for those who have trouble getting there. BPD said to call (815) 975-9059 to arrange a ride.
