LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Bats are embracing one of the city's defining summer characteristics that many would call a nuisance.

The Bats unveiled a weather-themed identity Wednesday for the 2026 season, the Louisville Humidity, paying tribute to the thick, sticky air the city knows all too well.

"The name celebrates the local climate, embracing what most would call uncomfortable and turning it into an advantage with a nod to the perseverance, humor and resiliency of Louisville baseball fans, who show up even when the air feels like they’re in a microwave," the Bats said in a release.
