Director Mahesh Babu P, who is gearing up for the release of Andhra King Taluka, recently addressed the buzz around casting Kannada superstar Upendra in a film titled after the state ofAndhra.

When asked about the unusual choice, Mahesh Babu P confidently stated that Upendra is a unique star loved across the entire South.

He added that Upendra cannot be confined to any one regional bracket, and that his versatility and pan-South appeal made him the perfect fit for the role.

The director’s clear conviction has further raised interest around the project. Andhra King Taluka is set for release on November 27 and has Ram Pothineni and Bhagyashree Borse in lead roles.
