ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Webster Springs man sustained minor injuries Thursday after deputies say his pickup left the roadway, crossed a median, and crashed into the Dairy Queen drive-thru on the Midland Road area of Randolph County.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy L. Elbon was patrolling the area on November 14 when he saw a white Chevrolet Silverado drift off the right side of the road while traveling south through the Walmart intersection.
When the deputy attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle struck a guardrail, traveled up the guardrail briefly, then veered across five lanes of traffic into the opposite lanes.
