MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A Memphis man is facing several charges following a high-speed chase involving Tennessee Highway Patrol Tuesday afternoon.

According to arrest documents, just before 1:30 p.m. on November 18, a THP trooper attempted to make a traffic stop on a gray Infiniti M35 traveling southbound on South Perkins Road near Cottonwood Road. The driver fled from the trooper, leading to a pursuit.

The trooper noted speeds exceeded 100 mph including inside a 40 mph zone. The driver is accused of running stop signs and driving into oncoming traffic, almost striking other vehicles.

The driver eventually stopped in the 4900 block of Hungerford Road and attempted to run from the trooper but was later arrested.
