Ready. Set. Hike. And win something good like a football championship!
Fort Worth third grader Bailey Anne Brender and her Wildcat flag football team are still on cloud nine after their championship win and showing off the rings that prove it.
Bailey joined the First Down Girls Flag Football team, which operates under the NFL Flag umbrella, after she got tired of sitting by and watching her brother play flag football.
“She would ask, ‘When can I play?’,” her mom, Brittyn Brender, told NBC 5. “It started as a chance to play with friends, but once she started it, realized she loved it.”
Bailey’s mom sounds like the game scored a win with her, too. “It gives all the girls an opportunity to grow and learn, they can do new and hard things.”
