DoT wants spectrum at 5% of AGR, rejects Digital Bharat Nidhi subsidy for satellite terminals

The government has changed its plan for satellite communication firms. Instead of limiting customer numbers, companies like Starlink and Eutelsat OneWeb will face capacity-based restrictions. This means they can serve as many users as their approved capacity allows. Any increase in capacity will need new permissions. The government is also reviewing spectrum pricing for these providers.
