Seven years ago, two Minnesota teenagers suffered life‑threatening brain injuries just days apart and were placed in comas in the ICU at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul. Now, they are preparing to wed.

In 2018, then 18‑year‑old Zach Zarembinski was rushed to the hospital after collapsing from a football injury at Hill‑Murray High School. Less than two weeks later, 16‑year‑old Isabelle Richard was admitted to the same ICU following a car accident on her way to her grocery store job.

Fast forward seven years, Zarembinski and Richard returned to the same hospital to record an episode of their “Hope in Healing Podcast.” During the visit, Zarembinski told Richard he had an important question.
