We’ve issued a First Alert Weather Day for Thursday because of the potential for locally heavy rainfall, especially along and west of I-35. A Flood Watch is in effect from midnight Thursday through 6 AM Friday for these areas.

While not everyone will see widespread rain and storms this evening, a stray strong storm could pop up with some small hail and breezy winds. Your best chance for rain and storms tonight will be overnight into Thursday morning, roughly from midnight through daybreak, mainly west of I-35.

We will likely see a lull in the rain coverage late morning Thursday and into early Thursday afternoon, but a more widespread wave of rain will likely develop Thursday afternoon and will continue to push through our area during the evening hours.
