Srinagar: Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Wednesday announced that the winter break for students up to middle school is likely to commence in the first week of December, as temperatures continue to fall across the Valley.
Speaking to reporters, Itoo said that many parents have inquired about the winter vacation schedule, noting that the cold weather poses particular challenges for younger children.
“We have already held a meeting regarding the winter break, and it has been tentatively decided that for lower classes — from Class 1 up to middle grades — the vacation will probably begin in the first week of December,” she said.
