Newly reelected Taylor Mayor Tim Woolley says he doesn’t want “’yes’ people” on the City Council, but he is looking forward to a spirit of cooperation as a new council begins its term.
Only one incumbent, Charley Johnson, will serve on the seven-member council. Johnson and new council members Ron Thiede, Christian Armstrong, Dan Wallace, Gerald Thomas, William Patts Jr. and Chris Clark were sworn in Tuesday. The new council couldn’t be sworn in until the Wayne County Board of Canvassers certified the election.
