State Sen. Will Barfoot (R-Pike Road) announced on Wednesday that he will seek a new term in the Alabama State Senate during the 2026 campaign cycle.

Barfoot's district was one of the Senate districts recently redrawn by a federal court.

"It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve the communities in my district and the state of Alabama," Barfoot said. "During my nearly seven years of service, our Republican majority has set the standard for conservative governance across the nation.
