WATERBURY, Vt. (WCAX) - The state of Vermont will soon enter into a five-year lease on a building in Waterbury to house state employees returning to the office.

It comes at the same time as the state has also entered into an agreement to sell its Cherry Street building in Burlington next year. Hundreds of workers had to move out of those offices amid the onset of remote work and after a 2019 report revealed serious structural concerns with the parking garage under the building.
