A local developer questioned the city-owned properties process after losing out to a lower bidder in his attempt to buy a Pine Street house.

The Board of Aldermen decided not to proceed with the sale on Monday, voting to send it and disposition of another Pine Street house back to the City-Owned Properties Committee for different reasons. The committee reviews and makes recommendations on offers for properties the city claims after they fail to sell at tax sale.
