Ford is recalling over 200,000 Bronco and Bronco Sport vehicles due to concerns that a car part may fail during startup.
The recall affects certain 2025 to 2026 car models and the instrument panel cluster, a group of gauges and warning lights on the dashboard, according to a recall notice published by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on Friday, Nov. 14.
The affected cars include 101,002 Ford Broncos and 128,607 Ford Bronco Sports. The sports models were produced between March 7, 2024, and Nov. 3, 2025, while the regular models were produced between May 31, 2024, and Nov. 3, 2025.
When was the issue first reported?
The company was first alerted to the problem on Sept. 18 due to reports of blank cluster screens in some models. Ford’s Critical Review Group then reviewed the issue.
Ford said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries due to the issue. But company data shows 68% of connected vehicles surveyed had ignition cycle events in the window for the concern.
The first warranty claim was received on May 15, and the company is now aware of 12 warranty claims potentially related to the concern.
The part’s failure could leave drivers without safety information, such as warning lights or vehicle speed, and increase the risk of a crash. The agency said the part will be updated by a dealer or through an over-the-air update, free of charge.
Owners will be notified in early December by letter and can contact Ford’s customer service at 1-866-436-7332. The recall number for this item is 25SC3.
