ANN ARBOR, MI — After over a decade as Ann Arbor’s top elected official, Mayor Christopher Taylor is looking to keep his seat another four years beyond 2026.
Taylor, first elected mayor in 2014, announced his reelection campaign Wednesday, Nov. 19, saying if voters give him another four-year term in 2026, it will be his last and he will not seek reelection again in 2030.
If he serves another term, he’ll make history as the longest-serving mayor in Ann Arbor history, surpassing his predecessor, John Hieftje, who held the seat from 2000 to 2014.
