KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Wednesday, hundreds of people from the nuclear world made their way to downtown Knoxville for the Tennessee Advanced Energy Business Council's "Opportunities in Energy" conference.
"This is the most exciting time in my career. And as you can see, I've been here a long time, I've seen a lot of ups and downs, both in the fission and the fusion worlds. This is the most exciting time for both of them," Mickey Wade, Associate Director of the Fusion and Fission department at Oak Ridge National Lab said.
Wade said the conference is helpful to ORNL, as it shows them ways they can improve their work at the lab in ways that will help the industry.
