FARMINGTON, Maine (WABI) -A father and son from Farmington have been found guilty of conspiring to distribute marijuana as part of a multimillion-dollar ring in western Maine.
According to the Department of Justice, a federal jury reached the verdicts Tuesday night.
45-year-old Lucas Sirois, the leader of the conspiracy, was found guilty of multiple charges including conspiring to distribute marijuana, bank fraud, and tax fraud.
His father, 71-year-old Robert Sirois, was found guilty of conspiring to distribute marijuana but was acquitted of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Prosecutors said this was all part of a conspiracy to sell pot illegally in Maine.
