LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Months after a fatal stabbing in southwest Louisville, a man has been arrested.

A Jefferson County grand jury indicted Antoine Simmons, 34, for murder on Sept. 25.

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said Simmons’ charge is tied to a stabbing in the 9500 block of Johnsontown Way in late August. The victim was transported to UofL Hospital in critical condition, where they died a few hours later.

Simmons was arrested Tuesday without incident.

He is currently being held at LMDC on the murder charge as well as other charges unrelated to the stabbing investigation.
