In addition to the players on the injury report in any given week, the Seahawks also have several players sidelined with longer-term injuries who are getting closer to their returns.

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald gave updates on some of those players who are working their way back, as well as news on one player, veteran defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, who won't be back this season.

Hankins, who opened the season on the non-football injury list due to a back injury, will not play this season.

"Hank won't be back this year," Macdonald said.

Asked if the back injury is potentially career-threatening, Macdonald said, "I hope not. The back is tricky. If it's not working, it's not a fun situation to be in, so I wish him the best."
