Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey said Wednesday that she supports Harvard University’s decision to open an investigation into its former president, Larry Summers, after Congress released documents connecting Summers to high-profile sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
“I certainly support Harvard doing a full investigation,” Healey, the former two-term state attorney general, told reporters after an event at the State House.
“Look, to me, as somebody who prosecuted human trafficking, who supported victims and survivors of sexual assault, this whole Epstein thing has really bothered me,” she said. “I’m glad there was a vote [to release the files] ... Those women deserve justice and anybody who is implicated by any of this should be held accountable.”
