SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — An east Valley man has been found guilty of securities fraud after regulators say he lied to religious investors about a faith and family-based media service.
According to the Arizona Corporation Commission , Robert Steven Swagger, of Scottsdale, and his two entities, TRS Pureflix, LLC, and TRS Companies, were found guilty this week and ordered to collectively pay $202,000 in restitution and a $25,000 penalty.
His wife, identified as Terri Lynne Swagger, was ordered to pay $10,000 for securities fraud violation, a news release said. Terri Swagger was a controlling person of TRS Pureflix.
