A state trooper has been re-arrested in connection with a domestic violence incident in Griswold in August.
Edward Gookin, 37, of Griswold was taken into custody on Tuesday on additional charges tied to the domestic incident including illegal discharge of a firearm, risk of injury to a child and first-degree reckless endangerment, according to the Connecticut State Police . He posted a $25,000 bond and was scheduled to appear at Norwich Superior Court on Wednesday.
Gookin was initially arrested on Aug. 27 after troopers responded to a Griswold residence on the report of a domestic incident involving a man and a woman, state police said. Investigators found that a verbal and physical altercation had allegedly taken place, though no injurie
