Man kills bear next to her cub on neighbors Central Florida land

A man shot and killed a bear on his neighbor's property in Grove Island, leaving the couple who owns the property heartbroken over the loss of the mother bear and her cub.

Lisa Kazek and Geoff Kazek live in an old house shaded by oak trees, which they describe as a little slice of paradise. They shared this paradise with a mother bear and her cub, who had been frequenting the area for months, enjoying the grass, sun and life.

Geoff Kazek, whose neighbor killed the bear, said, "This was their favorite spot. They liked the way the light came through the trees."
