ENGLAND, Ark. — Former England High School assistant principal and boys basketball coach Trent Morgan was released from the Lonoke County Jail after a judge set his bond at $250,000 during his first court appearance on Wednesday.
Morgan was arrested earlier this week on charges of rape and sexual assault involving a juvenile student. The allegations surfaced following an investigation conducted by the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the England Police Department and the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division.
On Wednesday, England Police Chief Richard Friend said that the investigation continues to grow as more people have come forward with information.
