The Pittsburgh Steelers did not activate cornerback Cory Trice within his 21-day window, meaning his season is over.

This is the second season Trice has missed in his three-year career. In 2023, he tore his ACL in training camp. He appeared in just six games in 2024 due to injury, as well. The Purdue product didn’t take the field in 2025, meaning once the season is done, he will have played in just six out of 51 games.

The Steelers signed free agent Asante Samuel Jr. last Tuesday and have gotten great production out of James Pierre, so the depth and top-end talent are both there. However, it’s been a very frustrating road for Trice, who has likely played his last snap as a Steeler.
