President Donald Trump is continuing to move forward with his promise to dismantle the Department of Education.

An act of Congress would be required to fully dismantle the department, but responsibilities for some K-12 and college programs are now being shifted to other federal agencies in the latest move to shrink the department.

Some education advocates say they are concerned about the impact this could have on students.

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers, joined "The Rush Hour" on Wednesday to discuss her reaction to the plan, and her thoughts on what a Mamdani administration could mean for city schools.
