46-year-old man identified as victim of fatal stabbing

A 46-year-old man has been identified as the victim of Pueblo's 14th homicide of 2025.

Scott Valencia, 46, of Pueblo West, was the victim of a fatal stabbing late the night of Nov. 18 in the 300 block of E. Stewart Drive.

Deputies were dispatched at about 9:50 p.m. to a home on a report of a stabbing. As deputies were on the way to the call, they learned the victim had been taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. The victim later died of injuries sustained in the incident., the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office said.

The sheriff's office said it identified a suspect, but law enforcement officers have made no arrests as of the afternoon of Nov. 19.

Because of the ongoing investigation, no other information will be released at this time, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
