It's time to hit the bleachers and watch the girls race up and down the hardwood as most high school teams are playing in their basketball jamborees this week. Joplin hosted its jamboree Tuesday and most of the rest of the teams in our area either played their preseason contests the same night or will be later in the week.

There are plenty of reasons to get out and about this winter to check out the girls' talent in the area. Many local schools are full of talent and have names you'll want to see fill up the basket. ×
