MUSKEGON COUNTY, Mich. — It’s one of the more brutal crimes the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office has encountered in recent memory, according to Chief Trial Attorney Matt Roberts.
Deangelo Aubrey was arraigned on open murder charges Wednesday after police say he murdered Sasha’ Spears and Shelenthia Willis on Nov. 17, recorded their deaths and sent the videos to others.
At his arraignment, the prosecution said Aubrey planned to harm another woman who “he was going after next” in Chicago.
According to the families of both women, Aubrey had previously been in a relationship with them both. Spears was found bleeding in her kitchen on Monday afternoon, her family said her throat had been cut. Willis was reported missing later that afternoon and was found dead hours later in a car.
