WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Rhonda Arthur says she and her brother, John McQueen, were inseparable. Every day before work, he would tell her he loved her and assure her that he’d be back soon.
“I’m going to work, I will text you when I get off, be careful here, and stay safe,” Arthur said, recounting their daily routine.
The siblings lived together in Winchester, where McQueen took care of his sister. But Monday night, the 48-year-old never came home from work.
Brother killed on way home
McQueen rode his bike to work on Monday because his car broke down. He was on his way home from the Go Time convenience store when he was hit by a car around 10:30 p.m. on Rockwell Road near Treehaven and died at the scene.
