A long-awaited day in Congress came on Tuesday, when both chambers passed a resolution pressing the Department of Justice to release its full investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The monthslong drama began as a pressure campaign by Democrats looking to force the resolution through to put GOP lawmakers on the defense, as President Donald Trump claimed that it was all a “hoax.”
That pressure, however, continued to build, both on Capitol Hill and from the American public, who consistently voiced that Trump should fulfill his campaign promise of releasing all of the files.
