TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Almost 14 months after Hurricane Helene slammed into the Taylor County coast, people are still in the process of rebuilding.
One local nonprofit, there from the very beginning, remains committed to ensuring the community has the resources they need to come back stronger.
Rebuilding the American Dream started when a local group of realtors came together right after Hurricane Helene to distribute food and supplies to people impacted near Keaton Beach.
To raise money and continue its mission, the organization is hosting its second annual Toast for the Coast event in Tallahassee.
