FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A recent $10,000 grant from Indiana Michigan Power to Community Harvest Food Bank will help them provide 40,000 meals.
Community Harvest Food Bank says the funding comes at a crucial time as people recover from SNAP benefit delays and the upcoming holiday season. The funding will help people in nine counties.
“This gift eases the burden on families at a stressful time of year, who are forced into making impossible choices between food and other essentials,” said Carmen Cumberland, President and CEO of Community Harvest. “It is a gift of compassion that provides both nourishment and hope.”
