Eight felony charges have been filed against Lompoc City Council Member Stephen “Steve” Bridge, who has served since his December 2024 swearing-in.
The charges include forgery, grand theft by embezzlement, fraudulent use of a contractor’s license number, and identity theft, tied to allegations of misusing city funds and misconduct related to a city rebate program, according to Santa Barbara County District Attorney John T. Savrnoch.
Bridge is set to be arraigned on Dec. 4, in Santa Maria Superior Court, Department 9.
Bridge represents District 1, the northernmost part of Lompoc. He was elected in November 2024.
