One potential candidate has filed for a place on the March 3 primary ballot to replace outgoing Goliad County Judge Mike Bennett.

According to Goliad County Elections Administrator Norma Edison, Jedidiah East and has filed an appointment of campaign treasurer (CTA) form to be included among the county judge candidates.

Bennett announced in May that he will not seek reelection for a third term.

Also, Sylvia Valdez has filed to be placed on the ballot for the county/district clerk position, which is currently held by Vickie Quinn, and Pct. 2 Commissioner David Young has filed for reelection.
