I’m writing as a Howard County resident, neighbor and representative of W.R. Grace & Co. (Grace) in response to factual inaccuracies in a recent guest commentary about our pilot project (“ When your neighbor is a plastics incinerator, you live in constant danger ,” Nov. 13).

First, I want to acknowledge the strong feelings in our community. Safety is a top priority and non-negotiable for all of us, and it’s natural to ask questions when new projects are proposed — especially when technical terms and unfamiliar processes are involved.

To correct the record on the inaccurate information that appeared in the op-ed, here are the facts:
