DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The Davenport Police Association and Empowering Abilities came together for a Thanksgiving feast Wednesday.
For more than 30 years, the association has served clients and staff at the non-profit a holiday meal.
Active and non-active members of law enforcement served turkey, mashed potatoes and other festive plates.
“Our participants love to be connected in the community,” Amber Wood, VP of Development and Communications for Empowering Abilities said. “Whether it’s here in our building or out and about, they will make visits, they love to engage with police officers in both settings and it really is something special.”
