Major League Baseball the has signed three-year media rights agreements with ESPN, NBCUniversal and Netflix that will reshape how fans watch baseball starting with the 2026 season.
The agreements mark NBC’s return to regularly broadcasting MLB games for the first time in 26 years and represent Netflix’s first venture into live baseball coverage beyond documentaries. The deals will extend MLB and ESPN’s partnership to 39 consecutive seasons.
“Our new media rights agreements with ESPN, NBCUniversal and Netflix provide us with a great opportunity to expand our reach to fans through three powerful destinations for live sports, entertainment, and marquee events,” said Baseball Commissioner Robert D. Manfred Jr.
