KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Frank Anderson, the pitching coach for the University of Tennessee baseball team, is expected to leave Tennessee and join the staff of former head coach, Tony Vitello, in San Francisco, according to Eric Cain with Volquest.

Cain posted the announcement on X Wednesday night.

Anderson joined the Tennessee coaching staff in June of 2017. Since then, he has led the Vols to five NCAA Tournament appearances (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025), three trips to the Men’s College World Series (2021, 2023, 2024) and captured the first ever national championship for Tennessee
