Former Kelowna school superintendent Kevin Kaardal earned $313,000 in his final year of employment with the district before retiring.

A comprehensive list of salaries paid to all employees of Central Okanagan Public Schools is attached to this week’s meeting of the district’s finance and planning committee.

Like other public bodies in B.C., the district is required by provincial law to release the names and salaries of every employee who made more than $75,000 the preceding year. Municipalities generally release their information at the end of June.

For the school district, deputy superintendent Terry Beaudry was the second-highest earner, at $297,000.

Jon Rever, an assistant superintendent, earned $234,000. With Kaardal’s retirement, Rever has taken over as superintendent.
