On Tuesday (Nov. 18), Pittsburgh International Airport's (PIT) new terminal debuted its operations after four years of construction, which started in October 2021. The airport's $1.7 billion modernization promises "faster, smoother travel," especially with its new TSA machines. But on its first day of operation, passengers were already complaining about long lines.

While travelers are relieved that flight restrictions have been lifted across the U.S. ahead of Thanksgiving , some PIT passengers are afraid that the TSA lines at the new terminal could go on for a while.
