LONDON, UK — Cynthia Erivo made a surprise return to her former school this week, and we're not talking about dear old Shiz.
The Grammy and Tony-winning actress joined students at La Retraite Roman Catholic Girls' School in Clapham Park, London, in an emotional performance that left both the actress and choir members in tears.
In a video shared by BBC Radio 1, Erivo walked into a choir rehearsal where students were practicing "For Good," a song from the Wicked musical.
The girls had been told they were going to be recorded in a video that would be shown to the actress, who has been starring as Elphaba in the film adaptations of the hit Broadway musical.
