Southwest Arkansas police department fined for failing to meet training requirements

A state panel on Wednesday voted to fine Gurdon police $100,000 after the city's officers repeatedly failed to meet annual training standards, although all but $10,000 of the sanction will be waived if the Police Department follows standards for a five-year probationary period.
