CHICAGO (WLS) -- Ramiro Cabrera said, from the moment he was arrested by immigration agents, he lived through a 41-day "terror."

The 51-year-old father and grandfather was arrested in Crestwood last month during the Trump administration's immigration enforcement "blitz" in the Chicago area.

But last week, he was released from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody after prevailing in a federal court case. Three days after his return home, he sat down with the ABC7 Chicago I-Team to share his story.

"I felt so much terror, so much fear," Cabrera told the I-Team, speaking in Spanish. "We longed to see two minutes of daylight, but we never saw it in the 41 days I was there."
