Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani and President Donald Trump are preparing for a highly anticipated meeting.

Earlier this week, Mamdani said his transition team reached out to the White House after the president expressed interest in sitting down with the mayor-elect.

But it all comes after months of talking tough and trading threats.

Now, the two are looking to put aside their differences and focus on how they can benefit New York City amid a federal funding fight and threats of federal troops in the five boroughs.
